What is  wiaservc.dll

The process name for the file wiaservc.dll is Still Image Device Service, from the software Windows Image Acquisition. This is a digitally-signed file from Microsoft, and is generally installed through the Windows OS installer. The file is essential for the proper communication between your graphics card software and your digital imaging device. In other words, the file is responsible for displaying your still images onto the PC. On Windows 7 PCs, the file version that gets installed is 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255). It has a standard kilobyte size of 565 KB. Since this is a .dll file, it cannot execute by itself. An executable is needed in order for the wiaservc.dll to load. The executable that the file uses is svchost.exe, the generic host process for Win32 .dll files from Microsoft. Common disk image location is C:\Windows\System 32\wiaservc.dll. Statically linked files to wiaservc.dll are fsusd.dll and wiavis.dll. When either fsusd.dll or wiavis.dll is loaded onto your computer, the wiaservc.dll file is automatically loaded as well.
