What is  i2omgmt.sys

There are no updated reviews or information found regarding the file i2omgmt.sys. The file was found to be installed simultaneous with Windows XP, and although it was not a part of every Windows OS installer; several machines tested were found to have the file in their systems. Its process name is I2O Filter. Vulnerabilities were discovered with the system file, particularly its weak defense against execution of arbitrary codes, enabling anyone who is logged-in on the PC to overwrite existing arbitrary codes, which affects the dynamics between the computer applications and data processing. This privilege, which is generally for Administrators only, is given to anyone who logs-in, which renders the system vulnerable to attacks by unscrupulous users. The problem was addressed by Microsoft with its release of the Windows SP3; however, the system file has since been taken out, rendering it “defunct,” as per the advice of some tech reviews and individual users.
