What is winlogin.exe
The winlogon.exe process also known as winlogon.exe, or Windows Logon Application is developed by the Microsoft company for Windows products. The winlogin.exe is a necessary process in order for the user to activate Windows and for user's authorization. This process runs in the background and is also a part of the Windows Login subsystem. The winlogin.exe process is also responsible in managing the user logon and logoff, and checking the Windows XP activation code. The process must be located in the system32 folder, and other than this specified location, the winlogin.exe can be considered as fake. The winlogin.exe process is also used in user settings and registration code. You must take the genuine process of winlogin.exe because hacked process can change and will consume about 100 MB of your computer's memory, and it can even kills your operating system. The winlogin.exe process is an important part of your operating system and it should be left alone.
