The file lsass.exe has a process name of Local Security Authority Subsystem. This is an application that is installed with MS Windows OS software. Its main purpose is to provide a security application for the computer system, in terms of user log-ons, whether to an end-user PC connected to a network, or to a server. Basically, the application will check the validity of the username and/or password of the client who is attempting to access the PC. If the data provided are found to be valid, the application will allow the client to use the PC. If invalid, a prompt will be displayed, informing the user that the information provided do not match with the one that is stored in the system. The file’s command execution is C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\lsass.exe. Approximate file size is 108 KB, with an average RAM usage of 2.69 MB. The process has about 14 GDI Objects related to it. It has a total I/O read/write operation of 12/min.
