What is  procexp.exe

An executable file known as the Sysinternals Process Explorer is the other name of the file procexp.exe. The file belongs to the software called Process Explorer which was owned and was developed by the Sysinternals Compnay. The program is necessary for providing descriptions of processes. The file can be located in the C:\Documents and Settings. The known file size of the file is 3,623,736 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD).But the file size may change when installed in different versions of Operating Systems such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not belong to the Windows core file but it belongs to the list of trusted files by the Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. This means that the file should not be removed from the Personal Computer (PC). However, the user may still have the option to remove the file by removing the entire program in which the file is associated with.

How can I stop procexp.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. procexp.exe. is used by Microsoft Windows, If you shut down procexp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop procexp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Windows, from your system.
