What is  luafv.sys

LUA File Virtualization Filter Driver is part of the software that installs Windows Operating Systems; and the file is executed through luafv.sys. This is a Windows system process and as such, it should be kept installed and running at all times. It is not generally recommended that system processes be terminated, because it could adversely affect the way the system functions. Not much has been said about the file, except that it seems to be the file that is wholly responsible for automatically directing applications that want to install in system folders, to a user folder instead. In a way, the file protects the system by not allowing non-system applications to install in a system folder. In light of this, the file is considered as a form of security measure installed by Microsoft. This is a valid Windows file, and it is located in C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers\luafv.sys. It has an average size of 81.5 KB.
