What is  rdpcdd.sys

The process that executes through the file rdpcdd.sys is known as RDP Miniport, which is normally installed together with your system files from the Windows OS software. The process is also known as Remote Desktop Protocol Chained Display Driver. The file basically functions as the display driver when the user is connected through remote desktop. The file runs in both 32-bit and 64-bit OS platforms, and is licensed under its vendor, Microsoft Corporation. Users can find the file installed in the directory path of C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers\rdpcdd.sys. Usual size of the file ranges from 4,224 bytes to 6,656 bytes. Although the file was installed by your Windows OS software, and is considered as a legitimate and valid Microsoft file; it has been cited as a file containing a form of rootkit, and also as a form of browser hijacker; these, according to users’ own accounts of their rdpcdd.sys file being detected as malicious by their AV software.
