Service Control Manager is a Windows system file that is installed onto the system through the executable services.exe file. This process is part of Microsoft’s Services and Controller application. The process is the main component of your Windows OS that is responsible for starting, stopping, and interacting with system processes. This is a console program that the Wininit process launches upon system booting. Eventlog is the name of the Windows service when it runs in the background. The file is protected via Windows File Protection, so programs or other applications will not be able to overwrite it, because it is a critical component of your OS. File directory is C:\Windows\System 32\services.exe. A good number of applications have the services.exe file as their parent process. As for services.exe, its parent process is winlogon.exe. Child processes include spoolsv.exe, svchost.exe, alg.exe, and msiexec.exe. There are only about four GDI Objects associated with the process. Average file size is 105.5 KB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. services.exe. is used by Microsoft Windows, If you shut down services.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop services.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Windows, from your system.
