What is  windrvr6.sys

The file windrver6.sys is a Windows driver that enables the computer to communicate with hardware or other devices connected to the computer, wherein the driver can directly access the internals of the operating system, hardware and etc. This is a small software program belongs to WinDriver Device Driver from the Jungo company. WinDriver replaces the slower manual driver process through its utility to dynamically load and unload your driver. The utility is provided with the versions: wdreg and wdreg_gui which can be found in the WinDriver\util directory, can be run from the command line and has the same functionality. Graphical installation of messages is displayed in wdreg_gui while wdreg displays the messages in a console mode. A user-mode application can be developed when using WinDriver. It allows the user to control and access the hardware by using the generic file name windrvr6.sys driver (WinDrver's kernel module). To start windrvr6.sys on Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP or Windows 2000, you can use the command wdreg -inf install to load the windrvr6.sys and the windrvr6.sys service.
