What is  mrxdav.sys

Termed as WebDav Client Redirector, the mrxdav.sys process is a driver file, and a part of Microsoft Windows Operating System, which is a product created by Microsoft Corporation. Also called as Windows NT WebDav Minirdr or DAVRdr, WebDav Client Redirector is used on Windows Server 2003 computers to utilize WebDAV servers, or known as Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning. This is composed of two things, which a kernel component to be able to connect to a remote file system stack, particularly on Windows NT, and a user level component to translate file system requests into any WebDAV related requests. This kind of service is useful to people who are considered as host users or administrators, who may need protection of the information and credentials of their computer. In this case, the mrxdav.sys file is an important tool that makes up the enabled. This file must remain stored on the system and running in the background.
