Task Host serves as a generic host for Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 7; installed in C:\Windows\System 32\taskhost.exe, and launched through the file taskhost.exe. The main function of the file is to launch processes that load from .dll files. There are several .dll processes that rely on taskhost.exe to execute them, and as such, you may find a number of taskhost.exe files in your Task Manager. Generally, the file launches upon startup to look for .dll files that need it, and then proceeds to load these files. What the file does is to check the Registry to determine which .dll files need it. Parent process of the file is services.exe. The file is around 67.5 KB in size. Its RAM allocation is 7.23 MB.
