Cryptographic Services is the known process name of the file cryptsvc.dll, a type of dynamic link library (DLL), and is a part of Microsoft Windows Operating System, which is developed by Microsoft Corporation. Cryptographic Services is basically installed within the application Cryptographic Application Programming Interface, also regarded as Microsoft Cryptography API, CryptoAPI, MS-CAPI, and CAPI, which is an application programming interface (API), that is included with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, and works to provide various services that enable developers to secure Windows-based programs through cryptography. In other words, this particular process is designed to optimize security of communication when using a network, most particularly a public or shared network. The cryptsvc.dll file functions to three different management services, which are the Catalog Database Service, the Protected Root Service, and the Key Service. It is important to keep this specific file running in the background of the Windows computer system, to enable its function, especially in processing those management services.
