What is  pdfupd.exe

The process file pdfupd.exe is a legitimate Windows process used by many applications of the Windows operating system. It is located in a subfolder of C:\Documents and Settings with known files sizes of 34,826 bytes (50%) or 20,490 bytes in Windows 7 and XP. The program starts with the Windows boot process and uses ports to connect to a LAN or to the Internet. In most cases, users can see several instances of this process running in the background because they play a core role in running the connected programs. Disabling pdfupd.exe could result to the loss in functionality for the files that it supports.
