What is  mcbuilder.exe

Developed by Microsoft Corporation, mcbuilder.exe is the executable for the Cache Builder, a Windows resource tool. Mcbuilder.exe runs as 32-bit and 64-bit command line which has no graphical user interface or GUI. Windows McBuilder is loaded when it automatically self-registers in the Task Scheduler. It is a scheduled task whenever a Windows program launches. The Task Scheduler enables program or script launching schedules at pre-defined times and after specific time intervals or on intervals with event-based triggers. The Task Scheduler works by managing Windows tasks, the custom-defined actions taken as response to triggers or set of triggers in launching or running a specific program. These action triggers are either event-based or time-based. Tasks can also contain specific data which define the execution of the actions, such as the contexts of security a specific task will run in. Tasks are also configured to run according to the system status like being idle, on startup, or during a specific time.
