What is  recycle.bin.exe

The file recycle.bin.exe relates to the functionality of the recycle bin, which is the location where deleted files are temporarily stored on Microsoft Windows 95, 98, XP, 2000, NT, Vista and later versions, which is similar in functionality to Apple Macintosh Trash. The recycle bin allows users to recovery deleted files in Windows. By default, Microsoft Windows 95 and above uses 10% of available disk space to save any deleted files. In case any file is accidentally deleted, it can be recovered from the recycle bin. Users can view and identify the files that are sent to the recycle bin by clicking on the recycle bin icon. Users can modify how much disk space allocation for the recycle bin by doing a right-click on the icon and choosing Properties. In the Properties window, the space allocation can be adjusted by dragging the slider left to right, or completely disable the recycle bin feature. To empty the recycle bin, right click the icon and click Empty Recycle Bin. It is prudent to check the contents of the bin before it is emptied to ensure that no important files are completely deleted.
