What is  msconfig.exe

The file msconfig.exe which is also known as the System Configuration Utility belongs to the Microsoft Windows Operating System. The software was made and developed by the Microsoft Corporation. The file msconfig.exe is a tool for troubleshooting and its purpose is to activate and deactivate temporarily the software, Windows services, and device Drivers that works at the Start up of the Operating System. The file can be located in the C: directory and under the Windows folder. The usual file size is 158,208 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the file size may change when installed in different versions of Operating System (OS). Such Operating Systems are Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file has the ability to record inputs and is digitally signed by the Microsoft company. This means that the file is a trusted file. The file msconfig.exe is not recommended to be remove from the Personal Computer. The program runs when the Operating System is started. The program has the ability to monitor other applications too.
