What is  ntshrui.dll

Shell Extension for Sharing is installed through the system file ntshrui.dll. This is a Windows system file, and as such, is essential in the proper functioning of all your system processes. Deleting the file could affect system performance. Under this file, there are multiple files that are linked to ntshrui.dll: advapi32.dll, atl.dll, kernel32.dll, msvcrt.dll, netapi32.dll, ole32.dll, shell32.dll, shlwapi.dll, user32.dll, and userenv.dll. When ntshrui.dll loads, these linked files simultaneously load as well. Errors related to Shell Extension for Sharing; generally occur because one of the files linked to the library, is missing or corrupt. When just one link is missing, the rest of the links, and the ntshrui.dll library, are all affected. Reports that cite ntshrui.dll as a security threat were generally found to be caused by malware or viruses that attacked the file, and not because of the file itself. This is a legitimate system file from Windows that only installs with the Windows OS driver, hence; it is considered safe.
