What is  wupdate.exe

The executable process file, wupdate.exe, is a non-system, non-windows file that goes by the name of Windows Update Manager for NT. It belongs to the software, Microsoft Windows operating system by Microsoft Corporation, and is described to be as a process that is connected to an advertising program, Wengs Adware. It features no visible window and is considered not to be a Windows core file. Upon start-up entry level in the Registry, it automatically runs from a Run, Run Once, Run Services, or Run Services One, where it is carried during the boot process of Windows under the Registry Keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run and HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run Services. A pop-up is also prompted showing advertising data and information. The location of the file is found at C:\Windows\System 32, bearing the file size on Windows 7/XP of 790,528 bytes with 50% on all incidents, or 140,800 bytes. Upon connecting to LAN and the Internet, it requires ports that functions as having the ability to record inputs, monitor browsing habits, manipulates other programs, and distributes data for analysis back to the authors’ servers.

How can I stop wupdate.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wupdate.exe. is used by Microsoft Windows, If you shut down wupdate.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop wupdate.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Windows, from your system.
