What is  kbdhid.sys

Microsoft’s human interface device, or HID, driver for the keyboard installs through the kbdhid.sys. This is part of Windows system and is included in the driver that installs your Operating System. The file is saved in the following directory: C:\Windows\System 32\drivers kbdhid.sys. Being a Windows system file, users do not recommend removing the file because, other than being unable to use your keyboard and mouse, system processes could be compromised. No viruses or malware were detected when systems that have the file installed were scanned by various AV programs. A few users found they were unable to use some of their shortcut keys after installing an update on the OS. It was discovered that the file for the keyboard, kbdhid.sys, was not simultaneously updated. Also, the file failed to work properly after adding or removing programs. Re-installing and un-installing the programs solved the users’ issue. There were no other remarkable issues voiced out by users.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. kbdhid.sys. is used by Microsoft Windows, If you shut down kbdhid.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop kbdhid.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Windows, from your system.
