What is  verifier.exe

Verifier.exe is a system file installed with Windows OS. This is a tool provided by Microsoft for their Operating Systems, to detect driver software bugs. What the process does is to monitor drivers installed on the computer to see if these are causing some files to be corrupted, or causing the system to malfunction. The file particularly zeroes-in on the kernel mode of the files, to check for discrepancies. Discrepancies with kernel mode can result in software failure or system crash. By default, the file is saved in C:\Windows\System 32; the file being a system file. If the file was moved to another location such as Documents and Settings, or Program Files, users recommend verifying the verifier if this is still the legitimate file, or if it was corrupted by a virus or malware. The file calls on several modules in the system, and if one of these modules is missing or corrupt, the process will not load.
