The Windows Driver Model, also known as Win32 Driver Model is a framework for device drivers that were introduced with Windows 98 and Windows 2000 to replace VxD, which was used on older versions of Windows. The splitter system driver splitter.sys is the KS filter that creates two or more output stream from a single input capture stream. The input stream is copied by the splitter driver transparently to two more output streams independently of the format of the input stream. The WDM Audio components include the WDMAud , SysAudio, KMixer, Redbook, SBEmul, SWMidi, DMusic, AEC, DRMK, USB Audio Class, and AVC Audio Class system drivers.
