What is  alockout.dll

The file alockout.dll is part of the Account Lockout Status service that is provided by Microsoft for their Windows OS. The alockout.dll file keeps a log of the programs that are installed on your computer, providing you with vital information that can help you zero-in on programs or applications that are causing the lockout status on your system. The log file is saved in the Debug folder of Systemroot, which you can access through the file alockout.txt. The Account Lockout Status service is not a core Windows system process, but is nevertheless ran as a Windows service. It is not installed with the Windows OS installer, but is instead available for download from the Microsoft website. The file’s average size is 274,497 bytes. The alockout.dll is initiated by the Appinit.reg file. There were no other mentions of the .dll file’s functions other than its capability to monitor log files, for information purposes only.
