What is  config.msi

The config.msi process has an unknown author and it belongs to the Checkin-Checkout software. The config.msi process is a hidden folder within the root drive of Windows operating system and it is usually located within the Drive C. It is normally used by the Windows Installer during the installation of the software. Usually, it saves files that contain the extensions of .RBF and .RBS. These files are called Rollback Script Files and there are used by the installer in order to uninstall the recent alterations if an installation fails somewhere along the line. The RBS (rollback script file) is stored within the config.msi process folder on the disk where the OS is installed. The program contains no visible window and there is not any detailed information about its author. This process is considered to be obscure, though it does not present any significant risk, but precautions should be watched out for. It is a running program.
