What is  regedit.dll

The regedit.dll process is a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file. It is used to operate or control other programs present on the computer. It is located in the system registry as well as on Windows folder “C:\Windows\System32”. When installed on a Windows 7 or a Windows XP, the file size is 81,920 bytes. This process has no display window and is not a Windows core file. A Dynamic Link Library file is stored on a computer’s registry. The registry is what contains all the applications on a computer. If a user decides to delete regedit.dll file from the system registry, he has to get access to the computer’s Registry Editor first. A Registry Editor is a tool on the system registry that can be accessed via the command prompt. Its main task is to change settings or commands on the registry. This Registry Editor has to be handled with care by users as a single wrong command can bust the whole computer up.
