Hi Arnie,

I have a couple of quick questions and suggestions:

1. Do you have any apps running when you switch from laptop to tablet mode? If you\'re not sure, please check to see if there are any apps running in the laptop mode, close/exit them if necessary and when there is very little activity in the background, switch to the tablet mode to see what happens.

It is IMPORTANT to note that freezes generally occur when an app or service becomes unresponsive or when the laptop\'s memory or cpu usage is high.

2. If your PC freezes and becomes unresponsive, the quickest way to fix it would be to press the Power key to switch between sleep/wake mode and hopefully restore it back to normal.

Note: A long press of the Power button will result in a hard reset

3. There isn\'t a BACK hardware key on the tablet. You can however see the Back option when you\'re running a Metro app.

4. I don\'t think a change in the Sleep settings is causing this problem.

Seeing that you\'ve had this problem from the start and the product is still under warranty, you should take it to DELL and get it checked and rectified.

Let us know how you go.

James

Hi Arnie,

If the hardware is working correctly in Safe Mode but not when you run in normal Windows mode then it is probably a driver issue. Before you do a full reinstall (which, honestly, may ultimately be easier / quicker) you may want to go to http://support.Dell... and try downloading the newer drivers that are available for your model.

Lokesh
