What is  windows.exe

The executable file windows.exe does not appear to be a valid file, in that it does not seem to be part of any legitimate software. From what users have reported regarding the file, they discovered the existence of the file on their machines through their antivirus software. Their AV applications have detected the file as a form of worm, bot and Trojan. What the file does is to try to connect to the Internet to hijack the user’s browser, and to infect more files and programs installed on the computer. So far, there have been no reports from users or threat experts about the file belonging to a valid software, application or program. A good percentage of users, who found the file on their computers, rate the windows.exe file as a very dangerous file to have running on the system. Users are therefore advised to delete the file the moment their PCs start acting weird, and the windows.exe file was found to be main reason for it.
