What is  xgpinbgnd.exe

The xgpinbgnd.exe process, first discovered last March 23, 2012, is 65,000 bytes in size 75% of the time when running on a Windows 7 or Windows XP operating system. It is an executable file with no known functions or use in a computer’s operating system. The file is located in the Windows folder but it is not classified as a Windows system file. The process is activated during Windows startup and does not show any visible window. The file was created as a part of certain applications designed for personal computing, graphic interface, desktop computing and computer peripherals, such as various HID (Human Interface Device) components. The registry key for the process file is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run). It is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. To make sure that a user’s computer system is not at risk of viruses or malwares that may be caused by software downloads, a regular scan can be done.
