The adrotate.dll process file appears on Windows Task Manager as still under the same file name, adrotate.dll. Most of the antivirus programs and Threat Experts identify the adrotate.dll as a computer threat. This *.dll file is basically a spyware that is associated with an IEPPlugin. The adrotate.dll file is able to monitor running applications, user inputs and website visits and forwards it back to an ad server. In most cases, the adrotate.dll can be located and found in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. The adrotate.dll file has a recorded file size of 58,880 bytes among 65% of all intances in the Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems. This program file is classified as a BHO or Browser Helper Object which automatically loads as the user starts up the internet browser. The adrotate.dll is a non-visible program. It is located inside a Windows folder but is not considered as a Windows core file.
