All online resources state that winupdate.exe is a file that launches Rado Trojan virus, a harmful virus that is capable of secretly installing itself to any computer, providing the sender remote access to its infected computer. And once installed, all available personal information and passwords, even system configurations and settings become vulnerable which will eventually be manipulated via a remote computer. The file winupdate.exe is embedded to harmful tools and files, and the receiver should immediately remove it together with every Rado registry entries in the computer to ensure safety of the system from malicious activities.
Instructions in removing all Rado file entries:
• Click the Start button, and click Run, then type %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, and click OK.
• Then click Create a restore point from the "Welcome to System Restore Page", then choose Next.
• Type a name for the restore point, click Create, and click Close to back up the computer system registry.
• Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open the Task Manager panel. Click on the Processes tab.
• Scroll down a little, click Winupdate.exe, and click End Process.
• Click Start, click Run, and type REGEDIT. Press Enter.
• Press F3, and from the Registry box, delete the following entries:

• Close the Registry to exit.
• Click Start, click Search, and click Search All Files and Folders
• From the search box, click More Advanced Options, and mark checked all the options.
• Search and delete the file WINUPDATE.EXE
• Empty the icon Recycle Bin to completely remove the process file.
How can I stop winupdate.exe and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. winupdate.exe. is used by N/A, If you shut down winupdate.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop winupdate.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is N/A, from your system.
