What is  net.net

The file net.net does not appear to be part of a valid process, program, application or software. It does appear to be a form of virus, to be more specific; a backdoor Trojan. The file has been reported to install itself on computers as a system file, targeting the System folder of Windows; and then launching itself with system boot-up. It runs in the background for the whole time that the computer is open and system files are loaded. This is the way the virus associated with the file net.net behaves on the computer. Its process name is simply written as net. Its most common location is C:\Windows\System 32\net.net. The file has mostly been identified as an undesirable file, and immediately removing it from the system is the best option.
