The file gebcc.dll is a process that is associated with the Trojuan Vundo family. This malware is associated with popups and advertisements for rogue antispyware programs. This infection is usually distributed from email attachments that carry the Trojan, and browser exploits that include vulnerabilities in popular browser plugins such as Java. The Trojan attaches to the system using fake browser helper objects (BHO) and DLL files that are attached to winlogon.exe and explorer.exe. It inserts registry entries to suppress Windows warnings about the disabling of firewall, antivirus, and the Automatic Updates service. There are many varieties of Vundo Trojan, causing symptoms of infection to vary widely. Some of the known symptoms of Vundo infection include the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) displayed by the screensaver, Web pages that fail to load after browsing session, presenting a blank page in the browser instead of the webpage, and disabled firewall and antivirus software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gebcc.dll. is used by Trojan Vundo, If you shut down gebcc.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gebcc.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan Vundo, from your system.
