The file gebcb.dll is identified as malware that relates to the Trojan.Vundo, which was created in order to display advertisements in the compromised computer. This Trojan horse downloads files and displays popup advertisements, and is additionally capable of injecting advertisements into search results. It is known to be distributed through peer-to-peer file sharing, spam email, and by other malware. The mass mailing worms W32.Ackantta.B@mm and W32.Ackantta.C@mm are known to download variants of this threat to compromised computers. Increased levels of infection for these worms have been seen to result in the increased Trojan Vundo infection. Recent TrojanVundo variants have been observed to display more sophisticated features and payloads, including rootkit functionality and the capability to download misleading applications by exploiting local vulnerabilities. In order to avoid Trojan Vundo infection, users should avoid opening spam emails that may contain malicious links and email messages that came from unknown senders.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gebcb.dll. is used by Trojan Vundo, If you shut down gebcb.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
