The direct link library (DLL) file gebyy.dll is a process that is associated with the Trojan Vundo family. This Trojan is an adware that displays popup advertisements for rogue security software. The rogue security software that is displayed by Trojan Vundo may display a fictitious warning dialog stating that the computer is infected with a computer virus, and encourages the user to perform a free scan. The rogue security software produces a fraudulent scan result that shows malware infection, and proceeds to entice the user to buy the program in order to remove the infection, making the user believe that the program is genuine antivirus software. Trojan Vundo is also capable of lowering the systems security settings by disabling antivirus programs and Windows warnings, prevents access to certain websites, and disables some system software. It hides itself in registry entries, and some variants are able to hide from malware removal tools Vundofix and Combofix.
