The Windows Shell Common Dll or the shell32.dll process belongs to the software Microsoft Windows Operating System. This process is a part of a dynamic link library and it is quite common on multiple occasions for this process to be running at once, depending on the applications it is using. The shell32.dll process is a library containing Windows Shell API functions, which are commonly used in opening web files and pages. This process is said to be CPU intensive. The shell32.dll process is needed in order for the computer system to operate properly, therefore it must stay intact. In some instances though, it is responsible for operating main parasite functions and running its hazardous payload.
