This process is a VIPSEARCHER variant spyware. The *.dll, when executed, converts itself to a Browser Helper Object (BHO). Most of the anti-spyware and anti-virus software will clear this particular variant by clearing the corresponding registry entry made for this *.dll. The *.dll, when executed, will redirect the browsers to reach the vipsearcher.net when a Google search is made on that particular web browser. It is otherwise known as Google Redirect virus as it targets searches made on the Google search engine. This can be categorized as adware and also a spyware. It is an adware because it gathers the user information and targets advertisements to the system. This can be potentially high risk because it gets access to the browsing data of the user and also steals vital information based on user activity. It is mainly used as a tool for targeted advertisement. In a genuine adware, the functionality of popping advertisements is combined as part of the software.
