What is  bridge.sys

Bridge.sys or also referred to as MAC Bridge Driver, is a driver for Windows, specifically for MAC bridge ports that are installed with the tunneling software for sharing of internet connections, such as WiFi and 3G networks. With this system driver file, multiple internet adapters can be linked together and share one available internet connection. This file, though created by Microsoft, is not a windows core file. If sharing of internet connection is no longer supported or used by the computer, this file can safely be uninstalled without any damage to the operating system. Bridge.sys is located inside the driver subfolder of System 32 of Windows folder inside the local hard drive directory. File size is approximately 71 KB and is not showing any visible window when running. This system file also has access to automatically connect to an available network and reads the input from peripherals or hardware attached to the computer.
