The msmoney.exe process is an executable component file of the Microsoft Money software, which is a program classified as a financial data management and analysis application. The msmoney.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Microsoft Money software, which means the msmoney.exe process loads the Microsoft Money application unto the system upon its execution. When activated, the msmoney.exe process calls on other associated program files and references required modular system resources, in order to load and implement the functionalities of the Microsoft Money program into the system. The msmoney.exe process is normally found in the same application folder where the Microsoft Money software was installed in the system, which is usually a sub directory created and labeled "Microsoft Money" during program installation, and this sub directory is usually found under the Program Files directory of the system partition.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msmoney.exe. is used by Microsoft Money, If you shut down msmoney.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msmoney.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Money, from your system.
