This high-risk adware exploits backdoor flaws in the Windows operating system, which includes Windows 95/98/2000, ME, NT, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2003. Trojan Vundo blocks access to the Windows Update, changes the structures of Windows Explorer, and modifies registry files, causing harm to the computer system and affecting its ability to function efficiently. This Trojan may monitor and possibly modify registry entries or rename its files when the system restarts in order to protect itself from being deleted by antivirus software.
