The file geedc.dll is malware that is associated with the Trojan Vundo family. This family of Trojans is known to download annoying popup advertisements, modify registry entries, prevent the user to access some websites, direct the browser to a preferred site, and slow down the computer. The Trojan Vundo infection is usually distributed from peer-to-peer file sharing networks, and from spam email that carry the malware in its attachment. The malware is sometimes sent through email messages that are sent by people who are known to the user and contains malicious links. Once installed, Trojan Vundo hides itself, lowers the system security settings, and disables certain system software. TrojanVundo exhibits rootkit functionality, making their removal from the system difficult. Running a full system scan can help to identify the malware files, and to use proven malware removal tools from known and reliable sources.
