For more than a year, my Outlook simply deleted items when I hit the delete key. It then started to draw a line through them instead of deleting them. A Google search sent me to ReviverSoft. I ran it, found many errors, fixed them, and Outlook worked normally for a day or two. It then reverted to drawing a line through the item. I am running IMAP because when I used POP, it would download up to 20 copies of the same email. I would switch to something else, but I need an email application that is compatible with ACT.
One of the oddities of IMAP is that email messages are neither deleted immediately nor moved to a Trash folder when you hit Delete. They are just marked for deletion until you purge the folder.
So in an Outlook installation configured for IMAP, this means that the deleted messages are displayed grayed out and with a strike-through line, but are still visible. So you can either purge your inbox constantly, or put up with the growing list of messages. The other option is to have Outlook hide these messages for you.
This article from the Office site explains how to hide these message and of course purge these emails:
When I connect an external microphone to the jack, it is not working. I can see it in the "Sound" tab, but the levels is very low. I have tried with several microphones.
