Known by the service name NTI Backup Now (version 5 Tray Module), the bkuptray.exe process, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, is a component of a particular software product labeled as NTI Backup Now (version 5), or NTI Backup Now 5, which is developed by NewTech Infosystems, Inc. When the application that houses the file is installed onto the computer, the bkuptray.exe file is also downloaded, stored on a file folder, usually located in C:\Program Files, sometimes also found in C:\Documents and Settings, or C:\Windows, then registered into the Windows registry with a run identifier and an execution command, and automatically run as a background service, to execute its function, or complete the overall task of the program. Also, bkuptray.exe is a digitally signed module (NewTech Infosystems, Inc - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2), and a Windows file, so it works with most or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows operating systems, or Windows OS, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bkuptray.exe. is used by NTI Backup Now, If you shut down bkuptray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bkuptray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NTI Backup Now, from your system.
