The backupsvc.exe file, which is referred to as NTI Backup Now, or specifically NTI Backup Now (version 5 BackupSvc Application), is a component of the program NTI Backup Now (version 5 Backup Service), which is designed and produced by the company NewTech InfoSystems, Inc. With a digital signature (NewTech Infosystems, Inc - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2), the backupsvc.exe file launches itself to perform its task that is related to backing up and restoring files, as well as folders or applications, on the computer. The backupsvc.exe file requires the following Windows operating system for its installation: Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2008 Server RC2, and Windows 2003 Server. Also, backupsvc.exe is downloaded onto a PC or laptop with a minimum storage capacity of 256 MB. As most computer EXE files, backupsvc.exe runs in the system with the possibility of executing other modules that are also bundled within the software, and altogether perform the main function of the NTI Backup Now software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. backupsvc.exe. is used by NTI Backup Now, If you shut down backupsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop backupsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NTI Backup Now, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as NTI Backup Now, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
