Known by the service name BBMonitor, the ubbmonitor.exe process is a Windows file that is a part of the software ArcSoft Monitor, also WD Backup or ArcSoft TotalMedia Backup & Record, which are all created by ArcSoft, Inc. When the software is downloaded, the ubbmonitor.exe file, which is digitally singed by the same manufacturer (VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer), is also installed and is recommended to remain stored on a folder location on the computer, particularly in folder C:\Program Files. Any digitally signed file from ArcSoft, Inc. is not advisable to be removed, unless it is needed to uninstall the entire program that houses ubbmonitor.exe. Regardless of the primary function of the ubbmonitor.exe file, it has to be kept stored on the computer and remain running normally and continuously in the background, unless a user finds the program that bundles it to be unnecessary, and would require to uninstall it.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ubbmonitor.exe. is used by ArcSoft Monitor or WD Backup or ArcSoft TotalMedia Backup & Record, If you shut down ubbmonitor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
