The svcguihlpr.exe file is a process for Windows that refers to the application Access Connections SvcGuiHlpr, also named as ThinkVantage Access Connections Service GUI Helper or ThinkVantage Access Connections Service GUI helper Module, from the software ThinkVantage Access Connections, which is developed by Lenovo Group Limited. Otherwise called as Access Connections and CDM-8932 Product Support Tool, ThinkVantage Access Connections is a type of connectivity assistant application for ThinkPad computers, which allows a user to switch the network and Internet settings through the Location Profile option, wherein he or she selects and defines his or her own preference. For some users, the switching of Location Profile is essential when they are frequently going in and out of their homes. Since ThinkPad is a compact device, it definitely requires changes of location profile in order to get connected while on the go. Other than that, the application, which includes the svcguihlpr.exe file, enables a user to import or export location profile for any wireless adapter.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. svcguihlpr.exe. is used by ThinkVantage Access Connections, If you shut down svcguihlpr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop svcguihlpr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ThinkVantage Access Connections, from your system.
