The pastatus.exe process is an executable component file included in the required program files, system drivers and modules of the PowerAlert software, which is an application that is bundled with the firmware and driver software components of certain Trip-Lite UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) devices. The pastatus.exe process is specifically deployed as the PowerAlert Status Console module, which means the pastatus.exe process loads the PowerAlert Status Console module unto the PowerAlert software when activated. The pastatus.exe process is executed by the system, through the associated firmware and driver software components of supported Trip-Lite UPS devices, whenever the user requests for access to the status monitor console of the PowerAlert program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pastatus.exe. is used by PowerAlert Status Console Module, If you shut down pastatus.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pastatus.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is PowerAlert Status Console Module, from your system.
