The fsqh.exe file is the process called F-Secure Quarantine Handler that is used by the application F-Secure Anti-Virus created by F-Secure Corporation. This is not a visible program. This process file can hide itself. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. It is not a system process. The fsqh.exe file has a digital signature from F-Secure Corporation with certificate issued by VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer. This process automatically starts on running processes. F-Secure Anti-Virus serves as a security software that includes removal of viruses and other computer infections. Its anti-virus function secures the system from malicious programs, viruses and spyware intrusion. The anti-spyware function protects your privacy from hackers and spyware. DeepGuard provides protection from unknown threats. It includes Web traffic scanning and uses multiple scanning engines to recognize malware and disinfect them.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fsqh.exe. is used by F-Secure Anti-Virus, If you shut down fsqh.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fsqh.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is F-Secure Anti-Virus, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as F-Secure Anti-Virus, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
