E_fatiaca.exe is the executable file for Epson Status Monitor for Epson Stylus CX3800 Series inkjet printers. It appears as a system tray printer icon, and when double-clicked displays detailed information on ink level remaining in the ink cartridge, and the printer machine specifications. Right-clicking on the interface enables the user troubleshooting and maintenance on the printer, such as head cleaning, perform nozzle checks, print head alignment and cleaning, and access to the settings of the printer to configure monitoring preferences and modify the behavior of the Epson Status Monitor itself. Epson Status Monitor does not normally cause problems unless the program itself gets modified, deleted, or improperly uninstalled. It is recommended that the program remains installed and running, as it is the way to know and monitor how much ink is left, as well as being able to monitor and edit the printer and printing settings. Thus, the user would be able to have control of the health and maintenance of the machine.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. e_fatiaca.exe. is used by Epson Status Monitor, If you shut down e_fatiaca.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop e_fatiaca.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Epson Status Monitor, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Epson Status Monitor, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
