What is  compressmenu.dll

The compressmenu.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented into the system by the Standard and Deluxe editions of the StuffIt software, which is a Windows program classified as a file compression and decompression tool that was developed with a set of features for decompressing archives in over 30 compressed formats, compressing files and folders into archives and sending these compressed archives via local and remote FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or email. The compressmenu.dll module is specifically integrated into the system by the StuffIt software as the StuffIt Compress Shell Extension library, which the StuffIt software is required to reference whenever this program needs to display and integrate the functionalities of this program's context menu items and options from within Windows Explorer upon user request. These context menu items and options are implemented into the Windows Explorer shell during the installation process for the StuffIt software, in which the compressmenu.dll file is also placed in the system as one of the component files and libraries that are unloaded unto the system upon the installation of the StuffIt program.
