The executable file ceepwrsvc.exe is a part of Toshiba Power Management. It is created by Toshiba and its main purpose is to manage and regulate power consumption within the computer system. Toshiba Power Management is pre-installed with Toshiba portable computers, and allows the user to regulate the settings according to his convenience. In this software, there are several pre-set modes from which the user can choose from. Users can opt for a power saver plan if they are low on power. Toshiba Power management software will check and monitor all components that can consume power and make suggestions as to which running programs it can disable to save on power. The power management software can also control peripheral functions such as screen brightness, screen saver time out and even processor and hard drive speed. Toshiba Power Management is on startup by default, and it not advisable to disable it.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ceepwrsvc.exe. is used by Toshiba Power Management, If you shut down ceepwrsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ceepwrsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Power Management, from your system.
