The cdpagentservice.exe file is an executable process that works with other components used by the SonicWALL Global VPN client software, which is a Windows application classified as a network security and ISP management tool developed by Dell with a set of features for integrating network security functionalities and SonicWALL VPN (Virtual Private Network) resource access protocols into the client computers of Dell customers and subscribers. The cdpagentservice.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the SonicWALL Global VPN client software, which also means the cdpagentservice.exe file is implemented into the installer distribution packages of the SonicWALL Global VPN client program. This also means the cdpagentservice.exe file is unloaded unto the Windows-based system during the installation process of the SonicWALL Global VPN client application along with other EXE program files, certain modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, some SYS driver utilities, particular background process items and various components of the SonicWALL Global VPN client software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cdpagentservice.exe. is used by SonicWALL Global VPN Client, If you shut down cdpagentservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cdpagentservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SonicWALL Global VPN Client, from your system.
